Verse 1:
From Ethiopia to Egypt the world’s academic force
Admires structures that survived all the tests of yore
Sculptures of Aksum, the sphinxes, inventive works
The bronze figures of Benin and the Fez of course
The Zim ruins, universities that led the cause
Epic scores, far more so than we get credit for
Google it. Legends forged on these blessed shores
Let these thoughts keep you on your toes like with pedicures
Kingdoms get established
Monumental architecture Ceasar couldn’t manage
Advances in metallurgy deeper than your average
From a people supposedly so ignorant and savage

A continent synonymous with fear, evil, death and wars
